⬜April 17, 2022 - Wanda Story 4⬜

Wanda was pissed. She had just seen the article that Brianna Dennis published online (see: April 12) , and she wasn't happy. Why? Because names had come out, and that ruined the whole point of sending Lydia (one of the sneakiest Rebels in Wanda's arsenal) to help the Rebels escape. The whole point was for the Rebels to dissapear without a trace, but Lydia had messed up enough where they could trace it back to her, and reporters found out.You see, normally officials kept these things to themselves so as not to worry the public, with the occasional article slipping out about a particularly explosive protest or dramatic court proceeding. Sometimes, Wanda orchestrated these things so that they would get on the news. This was one of those times, but she was going to have a talk with Lydia...

Wanda: Lydia. Sit.

Lydia: Got 'em out. It was easy, actually. The-

W: You got caught.

L: What?

W: You didn't see? You're in the news. Your name, Lydia. You told me you could do this discreetly. You failed.

L: I got them out, Wanda. That's what you asked for.

W: But now your name and Quinn's are in the paper. That's not what I asked for.

L: Okay. What did you ask for, then?

W: I asked for an untraceable, mass escape. We're loosing numbers, and I thought you could help me bring more back. We need another big splash, and too many got captured. We need more.

L: Wanda. The moment any Rebel stepped into that prison, they know escaping is pointless. Some of these Rebels are discreet, and you threw away their career just for some publicity stunt. You told me to get these girls out, and even though I could have helped our cause so much more, you just had to have these 10 or some girls out, even though they're useless to you now! Getting thrown in prison isn't helpful to our cause at all. Sure, get a couple in, make the news, done and done. But the more and more lives you mess up just because you can't do it yourself-

W: LYDIA-

L: YOU'RE A COWARD, WANDA! WHY ARE YOU OUR LEADER IF WE DO ALL THE WORK? YOU WANNA LECTURE ME? START THE SHOW BACK UP, GET BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PURPOSE, THEN WE'LL TALK. FOR NOW, I'M THE LEADER!
