 I have something that will change this entire story, and I knew I wanted to include this from the second I made up Valencia.

Valencia is secretly a Dark Soul.

Dark Souls are a new concept I just made up, and basically what they are is the following:

A Dark Soul is someone born as a Townie but with an evil essence. They hide and pretend to be normal people, but they are the source of the rare crime and such mischievous acts or wrongdoings in the Town. Such beings are rare, about 1 in a million. There is no clear identification mark of a Dark Soul, and it's hard to catch them doing anything. However, if a Dark Soul is caught (and that's an ENORMOUS if -- only 13 have ever been caught in history) , they will be "rebooted" and recreated with the same physical features and the signature Golden Soul personality. (A Golden Soul is just what transformed Dark Souls are called.)

How is Valencia a Dark Soul? Great question. Now it's time for the fun part:

Valencia begins her business process by scoping out a relatively rich, often prestigious family / Caper / Townie. She will take a bad luck potion and somehow curse them, by a) using a black crystal ball, b) the Future Feather ( a feather that can tell / change the future. they are REALLY expensive. ) , or c) the luck root ( a ginger-like plant that controls luck for the person who eats it ) . Once they have bad luck, they come to her and she fixes it. Sometimes people will just come and ask for them to make themselves lucky, and that happens a lot.
