May 31, 2021 - Goodbye from Kendra

As lame as I initially thought the theme of lemons was, it was actually fun! Kendra was awesome, and I love how her story ended on a cliffhanger.

Obstacle Course:

(if you don't know what that is, go to the Jan 31 post OR March 31 post.)

Kendra clapped her hands twice, and 2 enormous lemons appeared, floating in the air. She made a sharp slice through the air, and the lemons were cut in half. She pushed the lemons into the air, then leaped from each one until she got to the top. Then, she got on her stomach and pulled the highest of the lemon halves up to where she was. She rubbed her hands together, and the lemon began to spin. As is spun, the peel cape off in one long strip. She grabbed the peel strip, climbed on top of the lemon, and slapped the peel against the hook. The hook pierced the peel and she swung across. She fell onto the moving platform with a thud and a grunt. The peel strip was still swinging, and she grabbed it and held on tight as she yanked it off the hook. She tied it into a lasso and grabbed the lemon half. She carved out all of the lemon, took one big bite, then set it down on the platform. She blew as hard as she could over the top of the empty lemon rind, and it was soon filled to the brim with lemonade. She tipped it over, and it flowed down in a perfect river, even though it had no support. She hopped into the empty lemon and whooped as she slid down her lemonade slide. She tumbled out and, like every contestant before her, gaped at the tall platform. She took a deep breath and clapped her hands rapidly. Lemon gumdrops (like the candy) appeared in a zig-zag pattern all the way up to the platform. She did a soft plie, then lightly leaped from gumdrop to gumdrop, only stumbling once. She did a grand jete (?) to the platform and bowed. (Ballet isn't her talent. She just has strong legs because she's a runner, and she happens to like dancing.) She thust her hand forward and another lemon peel strip flew out, but this time it went right off the platform. She ran onto it, and the peel began to widely spiral upwards. She continued to run, and tightened the spiral as she did so. Then, she veered off the peel and fell down to the ground with her arms straight out and her entire body rigid.  She had a blissful smile on her face, but she slowed right before she touched the ground. She stood there, levitating with the ground a few inches beneath her. She raised her hands high above her head and clapped. A huge lemon slice rolled in front of her, and when it rolled away, she was gone.

THAT'S ALL I HAVE. SEE YOU IN JUNE!
