April 13, 2021 - Poems

Poems! I wrote tons of these in January for Regina Bee. I'm going to try to write an introductory poem to Parker.

The steady hum of the machine
puts me at rest

The steady jingle of the bells
puts me at rest

I am at home
in the workshop
the hums
the clanks
the rustling

The bubbling pot
of honey leaves hair dust
dip in
pull out
smell
perfect.

I am a seamstress
an enchantress
a frost girl

Hands swirling
powers whirling
spiraling up to the sky

Snow falling
fabric draping
they are almost
one in the same
they are almost
magic
