March 13, 2021 - Jaki Journal #4

Okay, before you come at me, I need to justify my actions. I know that I’m technically  not supposed to help the same person within 1 week, and I'm technically not supposed to help 2 people in 1 day, but I had to make an exception for Pippa McIntyre and Analise Goldsman. Pippa, along with her tomatoes, also grows lettuce. I have no idea why anyone would wanna grow that stuff, but part of my job as a superhero is to remain impartial to the people/plants I help. Pippa is a horrible gardener. I went to the Capetol Community Gardens with all intentions to help Pippa and get out. Then, I saw Analise Goldsman’s beanstalk. Analise is famous for having the best beans in all of the Capetol. Analise has her very own section to the greenhouse that is blocked off so no one can steal her beans. The door was open, I swear. I just took a little peak and… IT WAS DEAD! ANALISE GOLDSMAN’S BEANS WERE DEAD! I gasped and quietly stepped in, my bright pink cape dragging on the floor (I’m a rose-themed townie.  I love pink. Don’t judge me. ) It was dead, all right. I touched one of the leaves, and it crumbled like ashes into my hand. I stared at the pile of leaf bits in my hand, and made a split-second decision. I pulled a small vial out of one of my many pockets, and tipped the contents into the soil. The brown soil glowed a bright pink, and the beanstalk glowed with it. The glow slowly faded away, and the beanstalk looked healthy and beautiful. Man, I love my job.
