Feb 6, 2021 - Book Reccomendations
Hi! This is gonna be a bit short, but I've got a few tiger-themed book recommendations:
- When You Trap a Tiger by Tae Keller
- I love this book. It is soooooooooooo good. I actually wrote a book review for this book a few months ago, so here that is: Lily and her family leave sunny California to go live with her sick Halmoni in rainy Sunbeam, Washington. When Lily discovers the hidden secret of a deal made with tigers, she races to unravel a twisted story, all while her Halmoni gets sicker and sicker. But when a tiger approaches her with an offer she can’t refuse, Halmoni’s health in return for a story, she accepts. But deals with tigers are never what they seem.
- Tiger Boy by Mitali Perkins
- I am very excited to read this. It got recommended to me by my local librarian and it sounds amazing. According to her, it's "a riveting story about an Indian boy named Neel trying to rescue a tiger cub before an unscrupulous businessman, who is destroying the boy's boy's island, can capture the cub and sell it on the black market"
- Life of Pi by Yann Martel
- I haven't read this book either, but it is supposed to be very good. It is about a little boy who survives 227 days after a shipwreck while stranded on a lifeboat in the Pacific Ocean with a Bengal tiger.
